Cruise pictures
Here is an album with pictures of the highlights of our cruise. The boys are still exhausted and missing their Grandparents. All Luc talks about is when the next cruise will be. He even has a ship picked out he wants to go on. My favorite port was Lanzarote. The island was formed by multiple volcanoes and the landscape was both eerie and beautiful AND we got to watch our parents jostled about on camels. I asked the boys about their favorite ports/part of the trip and they said it was the beach on Gran Canaria and getting to stay up late every night. Still working on the best way to download pictures so they show up on both the blog and Facebook. I tried to make a slideshow, but I think it's more of an album you have to click on to see all the pictures.

Surprise!
We got back last night from a 12 day British Isles cruise. We booked the trip months ago and my parents were to join us. Turns out there has been a whole lot of conspiring, plotting, scheming and downright lying going on in my family. We flew to London the day before the cruise and were to take a train down to Brighton beach where we would meet up with my parents. Everything was on track, we found the hotel and my parents, then Kenny supposedly ordered room service. He told me to open the door when "room service" knocked and there stood my sister, brother-in-law, and two nieces whom I hadn't seen in over three years! It was the best surprise and we made the trip a ton more fun. The kids took about 1/2 a day to warm up to each other and after that had the time of their lives together. Luc was inconsolable last night when we got home because he "missed my cousins." Kenny took a video of the surprise, but I can't find it. Here are a couple of pictures. Kenny's in Italy, so when he gets back I'll try to find the video on his computer and post it.

First stop - Guernsey Island
Guernsey is part of the Channel Islands which is part of Britain. It's located only about 15 miles from the coast of France and was the only part of Britain to be German occupied during WWII. It's a beautiful little island and we spent the day walking through the town center where the kids were enthralled by the street performers.

Liverpool
I really didn't know much about Liverpool, but was pleasantly surprised by the city. It has a nice city center and a portside shopping area that are really fun, but mostly it's all Beatles, all the time. I'm not a big Beatles fan, but it was still fun to see where they came from, what an impact they had and how crazy the fans were and still are. Here are a few pictures from The Cavern, the pub the got their start in and played close to 400 times.
