We had an unplanned four day weekend because the Chinese decided to throw themselves a party in celebration of 70 years since the Japanese were defeated in WWII. I had heard wonderful things about the Linden Center in Yunnan Province which is near the border of Myanmar. It did not disappoint. Beautiful scenery, wonderful food, interesting history and culture.

The area is known for its tie dye (yes those are marijuana leaves on the left - the area is also known for that plant growing wild and it's depicted in the tie dye) and again, the drying corn. |

Front white cloth is the pre-dyed cloth. It's sewn, cinched and then wound up with more thread. The front white cloth will look like the blue one behind it after dyed. |
