I need a blog post label for emergency room visits and stitches. Four weeks and two days after Dominic had his stitches removed from the accident in Thailand, he ran into a post while playing during the boys' swimming lessons. It was one of those innocent accidents where he was looking backward while running and turned around at the last minute to slam into the corner of a tiled post. I knew the minute I scooped him up that we needed to get to the hospital. It was on the opposite side of his forehead and down to the bone again. I was preparing myself and Dominic for the needle "pinch" and stitches when the ER doctor said he really recommended putting him out and having the plastic surgeon do the procedure because it was so deep and long. It made us really nervous, but I am so glad we went that route because he had at least 6-8 internal stitches and 8-9 on the outside.
I do have to give myself props for staying upright this go around. I think I am becoming desensitized.

Not pretty and you can see the scar on the opposite side from going through this 5 weeks ago |

Waiting for the ER doc to check him out |

Next step - waiting for an IV |

Figured out how to ride the bed up and down |

All dressed and ready for surgery |

Back from surgery and singing Katy Perry's "Firework" at the top of his voice. |
