We're on lockdown... Rock-O-Bama-O-Rama

The Pres made a visit to Ramstein Airbase and Landstuhl hospital yesterday. Since we live literally about one minute from Ramstein's main gate we witnessed a lot of the security preparations and kept hearing that all the roads around us would be closed the afternoon he landed. We walked down and got as close as we could, but didn't see a whole lot. We heard Air Force One land, got a glimpse of the motorcade and then saw Air Force One fly out. More interesting was all the security. We saw a lot of the set-up, but kept wondering what all we couldn't see like snipers and secret service we weren't aware of. According to our neighbor who works on the flight line, security was extraodinary. He had worked on security when Dubya visited a few years ago, and said it was 100x more with Obama. They were quarantined after

2:00pm and had been working on security for weeks.
