First trip with The Nugget
The boys have decided to call Dominic "Dominugget" or "The Nugget." It's catching on and even the teachers at the boy's school call him that. Anyway, we decided to ease into traveling with a quick trip to Legoland this past weekend. The boys loved it and it was a good way to test out traveling and hotel stays with three kids and a dog. The first ride we came to Luc was tall enough for and Jack wasn't. That did not go over well and the rest of the day Jack ran to every height check spot to see if he was tall enough whether he was willing to go on the ride or not. For the most part the heights were a lot more lenient here and they rode a bunch of rides I'm sure they wouldn't have been tall enough for in the States. Luc was pretty fearless and went on rollercoasters that would have made my stomach turn. Most everything was made out of Legos and some of the "sculptures" were amazing. You can see us sitting with a "man" in the pictures that the boys thought looked like Papa Roger (I have no idea why). We're trying to find him a shirt like the one in the picture. On the way home we stopped at a church that is a big Catholic pilgrimage site with supposed healing powers. There was a Lego sculpture of it at the park and it was nearby so I thought we should head there on Monday. I'd never heard of it before, but it was really pretty and peaceful.
