Mom and Dad left yesterday after 11 days here. The boys are going through withdrawal from all the attention, but keep reminding everyone who will listen that Papa and Grandma will be back when the baby is born. At least that may get them excited about a new baby brother. We drove to Bordeaux for a week while my parents were here and I'll do a post on that in a few days. Here are a few pictures from Christmas.
Four days before Christmas the boys knocked over the tree. Some of you may know that I collect ornaments from everywhere we travel and it's one of the highlights of my year to put up the tree and reminisce about where we went and how I came about buying each ornament. Well, 90% of my "memories" were smashed to shards that night and I'm pretty sure that seeing Mom so upset will have the boys feeling guilty until they are 90 years old. It happened while we had friends over for dinner, so that's who's helping clean up. With us soon to have 3 boys I may put off putting up a tree for the next 15-20 years. I still can't look closely at the first picture because I analyze which ornament each little piece of glass came from and find new ornaments that are now history every time I look.
Here's a few highlights from Christmas Eve and Day.
A flurry of presents on Christmas Eve:
What did Santa bring us?
All Luc wanted from Santa were a couple of cap pistols:
And he never let them out of his sight...

Oh, Kerry, I'm so sorry about your ornaments! The rest of your Christmas looks fun, though. :-)
I'm sorry for your ornaments Kerry!! You could still put up a tree...just a more...plastic?... one for a few years!
the pictures of the boys are very cute :)
ahhh I could cry for you and your ornaments...I can only imagine what you have collected. Isn't it so sad to see family go - I go through withdraws. Happy New Years
I can't even imagine what words would have came out of MY mouth if that would have happened to me!:-) I bet you wished you could have had a whole bottle of wine after that!
Also, did you get a picture of the tree after it was all decorated before the accident?
Oh Kerry, I am so sorry about your ornaments. My grandma has given me an ornament for Christmas every year of my life and I feel the same way when I decorate my tree, I too would be devastated if they were ruined.
Oh Kerry,....there are no words to describe how bad I feel for you! Last year our tree fell over and some of our ornaments were smashed, but this is much sadder :(
