Luc is constantly bugging us to find new "experiments" we can do at home. We've done a bunch with vinegar and baking soda ones and this weekend he was psyched because I'd bought Mentos for the Mentos/Diet Coke volcano. Unfortunately, the volcano was kind of a bust for some reason, but while researching experiments on the web I came across this cool web site with a bunch of different kid-friendly, home experiments. Then after looking at it more closely I realized it's from Channel 9 News in Denver. Here's the link and all the experiments we did had both written instructions and a video.

The Incredible Can Crusher and Elephant Toothpaste were big hits in our house. Here are a few videos of our laboratory:
From what we saw on some of the videos for Elephant's toothpaste, it can get really messy if you use a smaller container. It would be pretty cool outside in the summer.
And this one just cracks me up because of Luc's literal direction following. The experiment was to show inertia and when you quickly moved the roll of tape out the nut was supposed to fall into the bottle. I was trying to tell Luc to quickly pull out the roll of tape, but he just kept quickly pointing his finger in the direction I told him.
