After a whirlwind trip to the States last week (Arizona and Florida), Kenny flew to Paris to visit a supplier. The boys and I drove to Paris on Friday to meet him and spend the weekend. We usually try to stay near the Eiffel Tower, but this time I decided we'd pick a new neighborhood to explore. We ended up staying in the Latin Quarter and loved it. We visited some things that we never had before and went back to a couple of places we hadn't since the first trip we made to Paris in the mid-90's. This trip we did a boat trip down the Seine, went back to the Rodin museum, walked to Les Invalides, saw Ste. Chapelle (gorgeous & I forgot my camera), the conciergerie (where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned), the Sunday bird market, and finally the Deportation Memorial. It's on the spot where Jews were deported to concentration camps during WWII and I've tried to visit three other times and it's always been closed. Of course, Luc wouldn't stop nagging us about the Eiffel tower, so we also made a stop there.
