Beautiful Day Trip

Given the gorgeous weather and clear skies, we decided to drive about an hour north to the Silver Mountain Pagoda Forest. According to my tour book, these are the ruins of the once great Fahua Temple. At one time over seventy temples were in this valley. Today there are five Jin towers where the Fahua Temple once stood. The towers hold the ashes of important monks and the oldest structure dates around 1145. The boys had a blast and about half way up Jack noted, "This is way funner than I thought it would be."
