It's electric and so far I haven't gone any faster than I do on a bike. I will need A LOT of practice before I feel comfortable (or maybe I will never feel comfortable) taking the boys on it. I just keep seeing all these women shuffling around 2 and sometimes 3 kids on scooters and think, "if they can do it, I can do it." Sometimes I think we should just go all in and get our licenses and a car, but at least with a scooter/bike you can ride down the bike lanes or sidewalk and be out of traffic. Nugget's nap times on days our Ayi is here are now dedicated to practice runs with my new found freedom. Maybe Kenny will get me a set of leathers for Christmas.
My first lesson started with me leaving skid marks from my shoes down the almost nonexistent slope of our driveway and Kenny giving me these words of wisdom, "You're not Wilma Flintstone. Use your brakes."
