Another food post

I think this will be a recurring theme while we're living in Asia. If you've been following our adventures you'll remember that I posted about food-shock here and here. This weekend we accidently stumbled upon a street food market that I'd heard about, but we hadn't purposely looked for yet. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera since we were really looking for baseball gloves for the boys and I didn't think that was photo worthy. I'm slowly learning that most EVERY outing is photo worthy in China. Anyway, here is the one and only picture we got with Kenny's Blackberry, but I'm sure we'll go back (SOON..... as when you are here Dad, and you aren't allowed back in the van until you eat something of the boys choosing). The scorpions were still alive and wiggling. I don't think the sea horses and starfish made it. There were also spiders-on-a-stick and big-@ss-bugs-on-a-stick. You picked out what you wanted and then they'd deep-fry it. Kenny was again regretting ever saying he could eat anything if it was deep-fried. I think when Kenny saw the deep fried locusts again he burped up something nasty. I didn't see anyone eating the crunchy stuff, but a lot of people eating some long meat on a stick. I'm afraid to know what it was.
It's funny because for the Western people the food was the attraction, for the Chinese people our three boys were the attraction....again. Poor Dominic isn't going to know how to act when he doesn't draw a crowd. I notice that when someone isn't paying attention to him, he'll get right up close and stare at them like, "hey, Western kid here....Western, BOY here....CUTE, Western, BABY BOY here WITH blue eyes."
