Whip It - 7-year-old style

OK, now that I've kind of gotten over my bitterness about my boy's party I can look at the pictures without being too mad or sad. Now the sadness comes from once again having to pick up and say goodbye to all the wonderful new friends we've made here. The boys' school has been a blessing for me as far as meeting moms, dads and teachers I can call friends. Most of the ones who still live here were able to make it to the party. Too bad I couldn't be there. Kenny was super Dad first going into pitbull mode to try and get me on base, and then stepping up and handling the party. Our good friends, Carri and Brock, once again helped us, saved us and spoiled us with their huge hearts and generosity. I really don't know how the military community does it because we have met some of the kindest, most generous, loyal people I've ever known. I don't know how they stay so open to making new friends all the time when you just have to move over and over.
The birthday boy had a great time and for anyone doing a skating party, the glow necklaces (that I just ordered on a whim) were a big hit and like Carri said, they helped our parents know which kids belonged to our party.

Luc was also really happy with his cake and for anyone in our area reading this, here is a link to the blog of the woman who made it. She's very talented, reliable and the cake tasted great along with looking great. http://cutestlilcakes.blogspot.com/
