German "service" is notoriously bad and for the most part it's fully lived up to it's reputation for me. I mean when I find myself making up problems so that I can call a customer service line in the States just so I can hear "how may I help you," you know it's bad. One area that Germany overshadows America is in the realm of door-to-door services. Here we have door-to-door egg delivery, milk delivery, knife sharpening, nutcracker sales, ice cream, and even most doctors and vets will still make house calls if deemed necessary. But the best Kenny has found recently is door-to-door beer sales. The guy comes every Friday night, you go out to his van for some samples of what he has to offer and then you buy a jug of what you like. Now if they would just do the same with wine.....

Boy this would sure cut down on the last minute runs to the store and think of all the money we'd save in gas. I'm with you though Kerry wine would be perfect!
