Back to blogging

Thanks to everyone for all your e-mails, thoughts and well wishes after Stella died. It's been a rough couple of weeks and our house still feels empty. We have a lead on some upcoming boxer litters from a respected breeder in Belgium and are also open to rescuing a Boxer from a shelter, but with small kids it would have to be a perfect match. Our house just isn't a home and our family isn't complete without a four legged member.

Anyhoo, on to something lighter.....

Yesterday the boys came home from school and were so excited to tell me about the birds of prey they were learning about. They went on & on about what they ate, how they hunted, where they lived and how they "swooped." I asked them the names of the specific birds they were learning about and they told me "owl," "eagle," "vulture," and "howk." I knew the first three birds and assumed they were just mispronouncing "hawk," but when I corrected the pronunciation they insisted that it was "howk." Then it dawned on me..... I asked them which teacher was teaching them about these birds, "Mrs. Wickham" they both said. The boys have three teachers in their classroom, one American (Mrs. Saunders), one German (Mrs. Munsey), and on Brit with a very thick accent (Mrs. Wickham).

Here's a video of my little Brits:
