The boys really "got" Halloween this year and were extremely excited for nighttime to roll around. Luc chose to be a Power Ranger (red specifically), Jack chose a jet airplane and Kenny threw together some things from our travels and dressed as a Russian mobster. Jack was very brave, heading right for the candy giver, yelling "trick-or-treat." Luc was his usual reserved self, hanging back until he noticed Jack's sack getting fuller than his. Our neighborhood is full of Americans and Brits, so Halloween is in full swing around our house. There were not as many people at home as last year, but they boys were happy with still happy with their smaller haul.

Checking out his loot:

We're off to Belgium today for the long weekend. It's a German holiday (All Saint's Day), so we're going to check out Antwerp and then play it by ear from there. Kenny leaves for India on Sunday and will be gone all of next week, so the boys and I will be on our own. Jack starts preschool on Monday, which is going to be bittersweet for me. I won't know what to do with the free time, but will miss having my little buddy around.
