Working my way through photos....Athens

Slowly but surely I am sifting through the photos we took on the cruise and getting them labeled. I'll try and write a different post on each port, so if looking through someone else's vacation photos isn't your idea of time well spent, skip the next 7-9 posts.

This is the second time Kenny and I had been to Athens and as we were limited on time, we hit the spots that were our favorite from our last trip. The Parthenon is a "no-brainer" and then we checked out the main Plaka (square), the beautiful subway stations which are like free museums, and my all time Athens favorite....the changing of the guard in front of Parliament. I can't even begin to describe the ceremony, actions or outfits the guards wear in front of Parliment. Let's just say that even though they have to be well over 6' tall, after watching them do their little dance in a skirt, tights and pom-poms, I wouldn't feel very intimidated trying to storm the place.
