I read in "Lonely Planet" that after visiting Rhodes you would either like it or love it. I'd say we loved it. It's definitaly a place we'd like to go back to. The scenery was beautiful with blue, blue water and the white Greek towns built into the hills that most people think of when they imagine Greece. We visited the town of Lindos with it's Crusader Fortress and Greek temple ruins at the Acropolis. After the tour we walked through Old Town Rhodes which was very charming with the highlight being the Avenue of the Knights. The boys (and Grandma) couldn't resist dipping their toes in the water, but for the boys their toes quickly turned into full body diving and swimming (albeit without swimsuits).
