And the surprise destination for Kenny's big 4-0 is...

Mallorca, Spain! I really had no idea where this was until I started researching a secret excursion for Kenny's birthday, but it was a good choice especially for the boys. For Kenny's 30th birthday I surprised him with a trip to Cabo. How things have changed in 10 years. In 1997 it was just the two of us lounging on the beach, scuba diving, hanging out at the pool bars. Flash to 2007, our first day was spent hanging at our hotel's kiddie club pool. Our hotel is kid central and the boys are making friends at every meal and around the pool. It makes no difference to them that the other kids are speaking German, Spanish, Italian, whatever. Kids are kids everywhere. We have a private beach about a 2 minute walk from our room and when the boys wake up in the morning the first words out of their mouths are "can we go to the beach?" And they have both been sleeping in until around 9:00. Yesterday we drove to the north of the island and visited Soller and Deia, both really pretty towns. I'll post more later, but here are a couple of pictures of them at the beach.
