Backyard fun

The weather around here has been beautiful with blue skies and temperatures in the 70-80's. The boys spend a ton of time in our backyard so we decided to get a trampoline and Kenny built them a sandbox. They have spent most waking minutes in the backyard since, and I have some very tired and dirty boys by the end of the day. I know that a lot of people think trampolines are dangerous, but that's a risk I'm willing to take given that I practically grew up on a trampoline and only had one painless trip to the ER to show for it. Heck, Jack already has two trips to the hospital and neither accident involved anything more than his own two feet. The only fights we've had about the trampoline so far was over the boys letting me take my turn. I'm proud to say I can still do most of my flips and tricks, but I'm usually not able to walk upright the next day.
Kenny had lots of "help" while building the sandbox and putting together the trampoline. It took him double the time to get it done, but I reminded him that someday he's going to be begging for them to spend time with us and help out with projects. That's what I tell myself when they are "helping" me cook. For some reason Stella has decided that she likes to sleep in the sandbox on warm days. She has a whole yard of grass and shade, but I usually find her curled up here in a hole she's scratched out.
