Quick trip to Paris

Kenny had to pick a guy up in Paris today before heading to other parts of France, Italy and Germany showing him different plants. He didn't have to meet him at the airport until today around noon, so we decided to make a weekend of it and head to Paris. We spent Saturday night in Reims, France (the Champagne capital of the world), toured Champagne cave and then spent one night in Paris. We are so fortunate in where we live because nothing in Europe is too far away, either by car or plane. Paris is only about a 3.5 hour drive, but with traffic in Paris it usually ends up being closer to 4.5 hours. Our first stop was Sacre Coeur Basilica, which I had never been to. It's beautiful inside, but the best part is the view you get from there of Paris.
After that we headed to our hotel which had an awesome location right at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. For me, Paris is one of the cities of the world that lives up to all of it's hype. I could walk around the area near the Eiffel Tower for days. I took the next couple of shots of Kenny's car's navigation system when it was leading us into the traffic circle around the Arc de Triomphe. Notice there are 12 roads shooting off of this traffic circle. One of my favorite things to do in Paris is go to the top of the Arc de Triomphe and look down at all the crazy fools driving around it. This time were were one of those fools. The rest of the pictures are just of the Eiffel Tower. It is kind of like a magnet to my camera. I can't walk past it without taking a picture. I was really nervous about driving the boys back to Germany by myself. I wasn't nervous about driving in France and Germany, but nervous about being alone in the car with two boys who either needed a drink, were hungry, needed to pee, needed a new video, or were just screaming because they were sick of their car seats. Turned out I was worrying for no reason because they did great for the whole 5.5 hours it took us with just one break for lunch.

Your boys have no idea how lucky they are to be able to travel as much as they do.
