Where's Bear?

My friend Jen Box in Seattle gave Jack a lovey bear (he's actually a rabbit, but Jack calls him "Bear") at his baby shower. He quickly became Jack's favorite and is so comforting to him. This has been both a blessing and a curse for me, as has his beloved thumb. I would not give Bear up for anything because he is incredibly helpful when Jack is sick, hurt, at doctor's appointments, with babysitters and especially sleeping in a strange place which we do often as much as we travel. Bear has seen more countries in 1.5 years than most people will in their whole lives But I cannot tell you the panic that sets in when we can't find Bear and boy can Jack find some good adventures (hiding spots) for Bear. I have found him inside toy garbage trucks, in drawers, stuffed in cups, 'sleeping' buried under newspapers, in the attic (not sure how that happened) and the most recent has been stuffed in our deep fat fryer. Lately Luc has decided it's fun to join in the "hide the bear" game, so that makes finding Bear even harder. Luckily, Luc isn't very good at keeping a secret and walks around snickering about where he hid Bear. Jack usually takes Bear to the grocery store and calls out "hang on Bear" when Mommy takes a corner a little fast. We've found out that Bear can't swim - luckily in our bathtub, and bear scorches in the oven - Mommy trying to dry him quickly before bedtime. The bad thing about these lovey's is that is appears the companies only make a certain style for one season, so if any of your kids are attached to a certain one - stock up! I tried to fool Jack with a different one that is a little bigger and a lighter blue....no go. He said, "take that bear away!" I just hope that Bear makes it through Jack's childhood without getting lost or falling apart in the wash because Jack would be lost without him and Mommy loves how he looks cuddling with him.

Ahhh that is so sweet. I know Robby still has his :) I took him to the halloween party at Carisa's and as Jen drove off - Robby yelled OH NO my lovey is in that car. Very sweet!
