Eye infection strikes again

I think I'm probably delusional (with fever) to publish this picture, but believe it or not, I look really good in it compared to how I look this morning. Kenny took this picture last night and this morning my right eye is pretty much swollen shut and the infection is starting to move into my left eye. I figured fair is fair, I posted the pictures of each of my boys and now it's my turn. Hopefully, you won't be seeing a picture of Kenny looking like this in the near future. I'm starting to not be able to remember the last time we were all healthy. This round started with the boys getting mild cold symptoms and their second eye infections. About a week ago I got a sore throat and then Sunday night the sore throat got really bad, I started getting feverish, coughing and getting stuffed up. I've thought about going to the doctor, but I have to say I don't have much confidence in the ones we've seen here. I've had to take Jack in three times for things other than regular check-ups and all three times I was able to convince the doc (correctly, I might add) that Jack didn't have what he thought and told him what prescription to write. The best one was when Jack broke his wrist this summer the doc thought he'd sprained his shoulder. I said,"No, I really think it's more distal. Somewhere around his hand or wrist." He said, "Maybe you're right. We'll get an x-ray." Two hours later I held the x-ray up to the light and could clearly see a displaced ulna. The other thing that really gets me is that after every exam he holds out a box of unpackaged Gummi bears and lets the kids dig in and pick some out. He even did this right after he diagnosed Jack with strep and told me to keep him away from other kids because he was very contagious...."here Jack, now deposit a few of those highly contagious Strep germs in this communal box of Gummi's so we can pass them on to the next patient." Needless to say I'm looking for a new pediatrician and I think I'm going to try and treat myself with their eye ointment before going to the doctor myself. Wish me luck.
