What a "fun" day at the pumpkin patch

So Luc's school hosted a scheduled day at a local pumpkin patch where we could all go and choose some pumpkins and then the farmer would give the kids a tractor ride to his farm to check out the animals. After a beautiful fall weekend, we woke up to wind, cold and lots of rain. We were one of the last cars to arrive (thank goodness) and were greeted by a bunch of mom's running down the road between fields telling us not to park there because they were all stuck in the mud. I didn't have boots for Jack, he refused to put on a coat, and it was too windy for most umbrellas, so after about 10 minutes were were all soaked, shaking and the boys' lips were blue. Instead of tractor rides the farmer spent his morning towing the cars out of the mud. They even called ADAC (our version of AAA) to help. Of course since Monday we've only had beautiful, sunshiny days....figures!

I think you need to get out of the house more. Soon you will be playing online video games.
